For almost 70 years, jra has created high-quality architectural designs which reflect a dedication to clients, community, and creativity. the company, launched in founded. 1946 by Ernst Johnson, aia, still maintains the same standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail on which the company was founded.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Reflecting the move to more digital journalistic offerings, Scripps partnered with Black & White to create a web-based annual report to shareholders better leveraging technology to tell its investor story. Even the report’s theme, “Stories in Your Hands”, is a nod to the exponential growth in media consumption on mobile devices and tablets.

JRA selected Black & White to create a website overhaul to better position the firm in the competitive A/E landscape by more effectively reflecting the quality design solutions it offers and by conveying the collaborative culture that touches each JRA stakeholder from employees to partners to clients.

 

AUDIENCE

Black & White created user personas that were reflective of the potential JRA website visitors from clients to prospective clients to recruits to better understand the needs of each unique audience and how they would interact with the site. UI/UX decisions were made specifically with the personas in mind.

The visitor needs to be inspired by the aesthetic qualities of the firm’s portfolio while clearly understanding the work results from the collaborative nature of the firm. The site effectively conveys both important aspects of JRA’s culture.
