First Internet Bank – the first FDIC-insured institution to operate completely online – opened its symbolic doors (since they don’t really have any) over twenty years ago. Since then, the branchless-banking model they employ has resulted in significant growth to the tune of over $3 billion in deposits.

When Black & White was asked to help articulate the bank’s unique story, we burned our traditional banking playbook and climbed into their cultural headspace – where ceilings don’t encumber the banking experience.

Thematically, we positioned First Internet Bank in the space they own...

To help convey the narrative, we figured who better to communicate the benefits of the bank’s virtual approach to business than its customers?

Given the bank’s online business model, a fully interactive, digital report was developed to reinforce the company’s brand.

Copy was written to reflect the bank’s brand voice
